All restrictions for entry to Chile due to the pandemic are eliminated

On May 12, 2023, it was published in the Official Gazette the Exempt Resolution No. 505 of the Ministry of Health, which eliminates the “Plan Fronteras Protegidas” (“Protected Borders Plan”).

Thus, in order to enter Chile, tourists will not be required to have a complete vaccination certificate against Covid-19 or a negative PCR test (in case they do not have such certificate). In addition, the random testing to travelers to enter the country, which applied to both tourists and residents, is no longer in effect.
